Our RetireSMART advice and investment process
- Find out more –
If you are keen to learn more about our service to see whether it would be of interest to you then we suggest an initial conversation either on the phone or face to face if easier.During the session we will explain how the RetireSMART service works and some of the options available to you. We will also provide detail on the advice service you can expect and outline charges and costs. We also run regular webinars where you can just dial in to find out more or ask one of our advisers any questions. These can be booked here and there is no cost or obligation for this meeting or webinar. - Adviser Consultation
If you would like to join our RetireSMART programme the next step is an adviser consultation. Your adviser will review your existing policy and then discuss your financial and retirement goals and agree initial retirement objectives. We will discuss and agree your appetite for risk and complete our regulatory fact-finding process. We will then discuss and recommend an appropriate investment strategy to target these objectives. Our proposals are all made in a clear and straightforward way. Where appropriate we provide a detailed analysis of your existing policies and any recommended replacement strategy. We make sure all the charges and features, pros and cons of any suggested strategy are clear. - Implementation
We will discuss the strategy and recommendation with you and answer any queries you may have. If you would like to proceed you can appoint us as financial advisers on your ARC policy and we can then complete any necessary paperwork with you. We can then handle all aspects of the set-up and, if applicable, policy transfer and consolidation. We will then implement the agreed investment strategy to get your assets working towards your financial goal. - Ongoing service and review
To use a military maxim: “Every plan is great until the first shot is fired”Once your RetireSMART strategy is implemented, it is crucial that we review it with you regularly to ensure it remains on track to meet your objectives. Life changes; and the financial world changes with it. The portfolios are reviewed regularly with changes made as the discretionary managers believe appropriate. Your adviser receives weekly updates of any changes which are summarised to you via a quarterly webinar/workplace seminars.During the quarterly review sessions we typically cover off:1. General catch-up and update
2. Regulatory update
3. Strategic review
4. Investment and portfolio review
